Autumn in New England

Apparently, the thing to do around these parts is go to apple picking. Saturday was a perfect day to tromp around an orchard, so we hopped in the car and headed to the nearest one. It was quaint and perfect. Apples ripe for the picking, a little pumpkin patch, tractor-pulled hay rides, etc. Simple family fun, but that seems to be what the kids like best.
We opted to paint our pumpkins this year. It was a good choice. Just as messy, but much less smelly. Pumpkin guts smell just wretched.
And it wouldn't be a New England fall without a million fallen leaves in every color. We gathered a few and turned them into our fall decor.
And on another, non related note, Riley had his white coat ceremony this past weekend. Go Riley!
I think the pharmacist getup aged him, like, ten years.
In a good way.
