I'm in love with the Fathers and Sons camp out. It was the most relaxing weekend for me.... And the best part is, the boys had a blast! Hinder told me all about their adventures the minute he got home.
They arrived around 10 p.m. because of another church commitment the same night. Despite the late hour, this little one was full of energy.
They first decided to set up their sleeping bags in the bunk houses. After the lights went out, it became apparent a lot of bugs had made themselves comfortable in the cabins and Hinder wigged out.
Good thing they brought a plan B! They spent the night in the tent instead.
A friendly toad kept Hinder company while Riley set up the tent.
The next morning they were involved in a service project digging a trench for a water line. Riley reported that H did pretty awesome at doing the 'shovel work' and not complaining.
After the work, it was time for the fun!
Exploring the woods, canoeing, and kayaking. A little boy's paradise.
They arrived back in Portland with sunburned cheeks and tired eyes.
Signs of a successful outing!
