Heard of this place?! Me neither, until we started planning this trip. And now I dream about returning...because it was MIND-BLOWING.
Keep in mind that ALL of these photos are of Lego models. Besides the foliage, completely made of little plastic blocks. It's amazing!
Legoland is Mecca for all tweenage boys...and Riley.
AND there was a Lego safari...with full sized animals...made of Legos! I'm getting giddy...
Rice patty workers were a small detail in one of the Japanese city models.
Geishas! They thought of everything!
In addition to an extensive (trust me, this wasn't a fraction of our photos) miniatures section, the park had several other attractions.
Play places for kids
Wild West olde timey village....with a Lego piano player.
Train ride through the park
Full functioning mini-roadway for little kids. At this point I realized how much I was missing my little butter bean. A normal tourist wouldn't want to spend a full half hour staring at other peoples kids playing, but I couldn't get enough.
Aquarium
This crab still gives me the willies even though it's thousands of miles and a large ocean away.
And on top of it all, full theme park rides....
